This week, to commemorate our virtual visit to the #CzechRepublic, we ordered some 'Spa Wafers' online. I understand that #SpaWafers are a very traditional souvenir and street food. They are thin, light and sugary, and that you can get them in Chocolate, Vanilla or Hazelnut. I ordered them from the company that is most well known for making them - #Kolonada. We got the hazelnut variety. Scott and I really enjoyed them, but our more particular 11 year old, Alice thought they tasted a bit too much "like styrofoam."
From the description online, I was expecting that they would have a thin layer of a Nutella-like spread in the middle. In reality, the taste is much closer to sugar sprinkled in the middle, making it light enough to enjoy as many as you'd like!
We will be on the lookout for these whenever we have the chance to visit #Prague in the future!
