You might be thinking that it will be difficult to shop for souvenirs during our virtual travels, but the truth is (as we all know) online shopping has never been easier! Since Andorra is mountainous, one fun and typical souvenir from the country is mountain honey! Of course, like all souvenir elixirs, it is meant to cure all sorts of ills and bring all sorts of good fortune our way, but the best part is - they are delicious!
I ordered and just received a gift box sampler of four different flavors of honey from 'Le Souffle de'Adore'. This morning, we made some croissants and broke out the honey to try the different flavors. We received two lighter colors and two darker colors in our gift box. My personal favorite was "Number 6" or "Wildflower Honey" which is on the darker end of the spectrum. The lighter colors tasted closer to what we are used to in the US. The darker colors were much more complex in flavor and I really enjoyed them! These will last quite a while, too - lots of European breakfasts ahead!
