Welcome to our virtual adventure together!
My name is Lisa Peterson, and I am a traveler. I had big plans for 2020 and 2021. My family and I decided to fulfill a lifelong dream by moving from our home in Salem, Massachusetts to Berlin, Germany for a year and a half. Centrally located in Europe, we had the entire continent easily and inexpensively accessible to us and we were ready and excited to see it all. That was in February of 2020.
Well... you know what happened next!
This pandemic has us all confined to our homes these days. We have a choice - we can sit and wait and wish, or we can use our imaginations and the technological tools available to us to "see the world" in all the best ways available to us. I hope you will join me for the latter.
Each week, we will "visit" a European country - I'll be reading and recommending books and watching movies and TV shows set in each nation. I'll be learning fun facts and weird trivia from each. My family and I will be making recipes and trying traditional dishes from each area. I will be creating vacation plans for visiting each country in the future, once the fates allow - including travel itineraries and must-see attractions.
